LifeSwitch Driving Academy of Peachtree City is owned and operated by Mike LaTella. Mike is an addiction counselor in Peachtree City and founded LifeSwitch Addiction Counseling Services in 2018. With a sobriety date of May 21st, 2010 from alcoholism, Mike has dedicated his life to helping others find purposeful lives with peace and happiness through sobriety and following God’s direction.

Mike earned his undergraduate degree at Georgia State University and his Masters of Science in Addiction Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He holds certifications as a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC-II) and is also certified as a MAC (Master Addiction Counselor), the highest level of his specialization.

Mike serves on the board for the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA), the accrediting organization for Georgia addiction counselors and recovery specialists as well as the Georgia Association of Risk Reduction Professionals (GARRP), an organization focused on laws and training for DUI Schools and Instructors.

Mike is certified by the state of Georgia DBHDD to do alcohol and drug evaluations for local and state courts and is listed as a preferred counseling partner with North Point Ministries. Mike is licensed as A DUI School owner and director and is certified as an instructor to teach the DUI Risk Reduction class. Additionally he currently volunteers his time at Healing Bridge in Peachtree City helping those that cannot afford appropriate treatment.

LifeSwitch Driving Academy represents an extension of his commitment to help others overcome their problems, find happiness and live to their potential. Mike has been a resident of Peachtree City for over forty years and is married to Pam. They have three adult children who live in the Atlanta area.
