  • a driver accumulates 15 or more points within a 24-month period
  • a driver under 18 accumulates 4 points in a 12 month period

Driver Improvement vs DUI Risk Reduction

LifeSwitch offers both Georgia Driver Improvement and DUI Risk Reduction courses. If your court or DDS paperwork names one of these programs, start with that exact requirement.

Although both programs are regulated by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) and may be required following certain driving-related offenses, they are not the same course and generally cannot be substituted for one another.
