LifeSwitch Driving Academy

Is a driving school certified by the state of Georgia's Department of Driver Services (DDS) to offer educational courses that comply with requirements that must be met for first time drivers to earn their Class "D" driver's license.

LifeSwitch offers the necessary 30-hour "Joshua's Law" course in a live, instructor-led, classroom environment. Additionally, LifeSwitch provides the vital six hours of "behind-the-wheel" instruction which is one-on-one, and split into three two-hour sessions. There is no prerequisite driving knowledge required; and additional instruction is available in two-hour increments for those who want it.

Finally, upon course completion, LifeSwitch provides each student with the state DDS Parent/Student program guide and log book eliminating any confusion or ambiguity in what else Georgia requires including what to bring to the DDS office with the student goes to get their license.

Being elgible to get your Class "D" Driver's License at 16 is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Teens aged 15, 16 and 17 must complete an approved driver education course to obtain their Class D driver's license. This course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel training.

    Take the LifeSwitch 30 Hour Driver Education (Joshua's Law) course called "How to Drive"

  2. DRIVE

    Satisfy Georgia's requirement for new licensee driving including six hours of "behind-the-wheel" instruction offered at LifeSwitch

  3. EARN

    Take your LifeSwitch Certificate of completion for Joshua's Law and the six hours of "behind-the-wheel" to the local DDS office and get your license!
